Carnival Conquest ClassCabins & Suites

Conquest Class predates Carnival's Cove, Family Harbor and Havana cabin systems, so its strongest upgrades are physical rather than perk-driven. The class gives you forward-facing Scenic Ocean Views, oversized and aft-corner balcony choices, and on current plans a Captain's Suite at the top. The catch: five sister ships do not have perfectly interchangeable cabin maps.

01

The 30-second answer

Conquest Class is about finding the unusual physical room. Start with 6J/6K Scenic Ocean View if the view matters more than stepping outside. Balcony shoppers then choose among standard, Premium, Aft-View Extended and aft-corner Premium Vista. Exact ship still matters because category legends and obstruction notes vary across the five sisters.

Forward view

6J / 6K Scenic Ocean View

Floor-to-ceiling forward-facing glass makes these fundamentally different from a conventional Ocean View.

Oversized

9B Premium Balcony

A larger room and oversized balcony are the reason to compare 9B—not a separate benefit package.

Aft corner

9C Premium Vista

The wraparound aft-corner balcony is the geometry play.

Fine print

4J / 6B warnings

Current plans explicitly identify obstructed products, including exact 6B cabin numbers on multiple sisters.

02

Scenic Ocean View is the category that defines this class

Current Carnival plans list 6J Scenic Ocean View and 6K Scenic Grand Ocean View. These are forward-facing rooms with floor-to-ceiling glass. If you want the visual payoff of a balcony but do not care about stepping outside from your cabin, this is the category to price before moving up to Balcony.

6J

Scenic Ocean View

The forward-facing glass is the upgrade. Compare the fare against both a standard Ocean View and a standard Balcony.

6K

Scenic Grand Ocean View

The larger Scenic product pushes the same idea further: more interior space plus a broad forward view.

Scenic Ocean View is the class's best non-balcony wildcard.

If your priority is an expansive sea view rather than private outdoor space, 6J/6K can deliver the visual payoff without automatically paying for a balcony.

Value test: do not treat Scenic Ocean View as merely “an Ocean View.” Its closest decision competitor may be Balcony because both are purchased for the sea view.
03

Four balcony ideas, none of them Cove

Conquest Class does not use the Dream Class 7C Cove Balcony. Instead, the interesting upgrades sit above the standard 8-series balcony: 8M/8N Aft-View Extended, 9B Premium Balcony and 9C Premium Vista Balcony.

8A–8F

Standard Balcony

The baseline private outdoor space. Use it as the price anchor for every upgrade.

8M / 8N

Aft-View Extended

More balcony area plus stern-side orientation and wake views.

9B

Premium Balcony

More room and an oversized balcony. The physical footprint—not a separate perk package—is the value.

9C

Premium Vista Balcony

Wraparound aft-corner geometry creates the most distinctive balcony product in the class.

04

The suite ladder ends with the Captain's Suite

Current Conquest Class plans use Ocean Suite OS and Grand Suite GS, while several current plans also show Junior Suite JS and Captain's Suite CS. The Captain's Suite is the standout: Carnival describes it with a separate living room, two full bathrooms and a huge balcony. This is still conventional Carnival suite territory—space and priority benefits rather than a private suite neighborhood. Check the exact ship before assuming every suite tier appears on every sister.

JS

Junior Suite

Present on current plans for some sisters. Treat it as ship-specific until the exact plan confirms it.

OS

Ocean Suite

The conventional suite step-up with more interior space and a large balcony.

GS

Grand Suite

More room again, with the suite benefit package layered onto the larger footprint.

CS

Captain's Suite

The top physical product on current plans: major indoor space, a huge balcony and a layout built for a larger party.

05

The obstruction warnings matter more than the category name

4J

Interior with Picture Window

Current plans describe the walkway-facing picture-window view as obstructed or partially obstructed. Treat 4J as daylight with a limitation, not a conventional Ocean View.

6B

Ocean View obstruction

Current Conquest, Glory and Freedom plans explicitly flag 2446 and 2449 as obstructed 6B cabins. Do not carry those numbers onto Valor or Liberty until their own plans confirm them.

Exact room

Symbols still control occupancy

Upper berths, sofa beds, connecting rooms and accessible configurations are cabin-specific.

06

Five sisters, not five identical cabin maps

Carnival Conquest

The baseline sister

Current plan lists 2,980 guests double occupancy and explicitly flags 6B cabins 2446/2449 as obstructed.

Carnival Glory

Current legend includes JS

Current plan lists 2,980 guests and includes Junior Suite in addition to OS, GS and CS. It also flags 6B 2446/2449.

Carnival Valor

Verify from Valor's own plan

Current accessible plan lists 2,980 guests double occupancy. Exact category and obstruction decisions will stay ship-specific in the individual guide.

Carnival Liberty

A slightly different capacity

Current official plan lists 2,974 guests double occupancy and explicitly notes Cloud 9 Spa accommodations on the ship.

Carnival Freedom

Broad current cabin menu

Current plan lists 2,980 guests and includes 6J/6K Scenic Ocean View, 9B, 9C and Captain's Suite, with 6B 2446/2449 obstructed.

Class rule: use the master guide to understand the choices. Use the individual ship guide and exact Carnival deck plan to choose the cabin number.
07

How I would narrow Conquest Class cabins

View first

Price 6J/6K

If the goal is watching the sea rather than sitting outside, Scenic Ocean View can be the strongest value play in the class.

Balcony buyer

Choose geometry

Standard for baseline value, 8M/8N for the wake, 9B for oversized space, 9C for the aft corner.

Suite buyer

Check the exact ship

The suite ladder is not perfectly uniform across all five current plans.

Final check

Use the cabin number

Finish with the exact ship's official plan for occupancy, connecting status, accessibility and view warnings.

Conquest Class cabin FAQ

Which ships are in Carnival Conquest Class?

Carnival Conquest, Carnival Glory, Carnival Valor, Carnival Liberty and Carnival Freedom.

Does Conquest Class have Cove Balconies?

No. The current class plans use standard Balcony, Aft-View Extended, Premium Balcony and Premium Vista Balcony products rather than the Dream Class Cove Balcony.

What is a Scenic Ocean View?

6J Scenic Ocean View and 6K Scenic Grand Ocean View use forward-facing floor-to-ceiling windows to create a much broader view than a conventional Ocean View.

Which Conquest Class Ocean Views are obstructed?

Current Conquest, Glory and Freedom plans explicitly identify 6B cabins 2446 and 2449 as obstructed. Because sister-ship legends can differ, verify the exact ship rather than transferring the numbers automatically.
