About Seabound Journeys

We don’t sell trips.
We teach you how to buy them well.

Anyone can quote you a cruise. What’s harder to find is someone who will tell you which parts are worth paying for, which parts aren’t, and why the answer changes depending on who’s traveling. That’s the whole business.

Why We Exist

Value isn’t the cheapest fare. It’s the least money wasted on things you didn’t want.

Most travel advice is built to move product. Ours is built to make you a better buyer — even on the trips we don’t book for you.

That’s why this site is mostly free education. A cruise Academy. Fleet guides for every major line. Calculators that price the drink package, the Wi-Fi, and the shore excursions honestly. An interactive map of the world’s cruise regions. Nobody pays us for any of it.

We do it because a client who understands the trade-offs makes a better decision, complains less, travels happier, and comes back. And because the alternative — hoping you never notice what you overpaid for — isn’t a business worth building.

If we do our job right, you’ll know exactly why you booked what you booked.

Meet Joey

Joey Boleslawski

Founder & Travel Advisor

I spent more than twenty years in hospitality before I ever sold a cruise. Two decades of watching what actually makes people feel taken care of — and what just looks good in a brochure. The lesson that stuck: great service isn’t about selling more. It’s about listening first, then being honest about what you heard.

Travel was the passion long before it was the business. My family and I have sailed Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Norwegian, Disney, MSC, Carnival and Princess — as a couple, with toddlers, with teenagers, with grandparents, and with a child who has special needs. Every one of those trips taught me something a deck plan can’t.

Here’s what all of it added up to. There is no best cruise line. There’s the line that solves your problem, and eight that solve somebody else’s. The suite that’s a waste of money on a port-heavy week is the best decision you’ll ever make on a sea-day-heavy one. The premium a first-timer should pay is not the premium a fifteenth-timer should pay.

So I stopped ranking things and started diagnosing them. That’s what every guide on this site is doing, and it’s what I’ll do on the phone with you: work out the actual question before recommending an answer.

I’d genuinely rather talk you out of the wrong trip than book it. It costs me a commission and earns me a client.

Marie

Travel Advisor

For more than forty years I worked as an Advanced Certified Paralegal, supporting chief legal executives and business leaders. That meant coordinating complex domestic and international travel, managing schedules where a missed connection had consequences, and planning events where accuracy wasn’t a nice-to-have — it was the job.

Law and executive support teach you a particular habit of mind: anticipate the need before it’s voiced, find the problem while it’s still small, and never assume a detail will take care of itself. Passports and visa windows. Documentation that has to be right the first time. The connection with forty minutes that should have had two hours.

I bring that same approach to planning vacations — so the trip feels effortless to you, because the work happened before you ever packed.

Travel has always been part of my life. My husband and I have explored five of the world’s seven continents, and we raised our children with a love for it in all its forms, from simple family vacations to the trips you spend years talking about afterward.

Every itinerary should reflect the traveler it was built for. My goal is simple: experiences that are memorable, effortless, and unmistakably yours.

The Ones Who Test Everything

We travel together. That’s not a tagline — it’s our research method.

Three generations, a wide spread of ages, and a range of needs that means no single vacation ever pleases everyone by accident. When we sail, somebody in our group is always the hard case — the toddler, the teenager, the grandparent, the traveler who needs the quiet room and the shorter walk.

That’s why we’re useful. We’ve had to solve multi-generational trips for ourselves, repeatedly, with real money and real consequences. We know which ships absorb a big mixed group gracefully and which ones quietly punish you for it. We know what accessible really means once you’re aboard, versus what the brochure implies.

If your trip has to work for people who want completely different things, that’s not an inconvenient request. It’s the one we’ve spent the most years learning to answer.

What Journey Further Means

Great travel isn’t about spending the most. It’s about getting the most.

For some travelers that means experiencing luxury for the first time. For others it means better value, a destination they’d written off, or a week where nobody had to compromise.

There is no single best cruise line, resort, cabin, or itinerary. There is only the one that’s right for you — and the work of finding it is understanding the trade-offs well enough to choose on purpose.

Travel isn’t just about where you go. It’s about how far it takes you.

How We Work

What you can expect

Honest, not salesy

We’d rather talk you out of the wrong trip than book it. Our recommendations come with real trade-offs, not brochure language.

Transparent pricing

You pay the same as booking direct — suppliers pay our commission. Any planning fee for complex custom trips is quoted upfront, always.

Mistake prevention

Passport timing, travel insurance, port logistics, hidden onboard costs — we flag the pitfalls before they cost you money or vacation days.

Value hunting

Promotions, onboard credits, repositioning deals, and post-booking price drops — we keep watching after you book.

One point of contact

The person who plans your trip is the person who answers when something changes. No ticket numbers, no transfers.

Service for every traveler

First cruise or fiftieth, tight budget or top suite — every client gets the same preparation and follow-through.
