A $95 million expansion and renovation began in August 2026, with completion targeted for November 2027. Sailings are still scheduled here; the port hasn't said how access or parking changes during the work.

Arriving to sail
- Take S.R. 528 East (a toll road) toward the port. Exit 54A serves the North terminals, CT-5, 6, 8 and 10. Exit 54B serves the South terminals, CT-1 and CT-3. [2]
- Come at the boarding time your cruise line gave you. Garages and lots open to sailing guests at 10 AM. [2][4]
- Drop passengers and bags in front of your terminal or inside its parking facility. Porters from the cruise line take the bags. [2][6]
- Price changes Park next to your terminal: every terminal has a garage or surface lot beside it, so there's no shuttle leg. Official parking is $20 a day plus tax, counting both your sail day and return day, paid on entry by credit card only. [2][6]
- Walk from the garage or lot to the terminal entrance. The port doesn't publish walking distances. [2]
Leaving after your cruise
- Drivers can collect you at the terminal entrance, or you can walk your luggage to the car. Disembarking guests can reach their cars at any time. [2]
- Not verified Uber and Lyft operate at Port Canaveral. The port doesn't publish a passenger pickup spot, so follow the signs on site and your app's pin. We haven't verified a meeting point. [7]
- Not verified Taxis: the port doesn't publish taxi rules or a stand location.
- Not verified Cocoa Beach Express is the port's official ground transportation concessionaire. We couldn't confirm its airport routes or fares. Some cruise lines sell their own transfers. [7]
- Orlando International (MCO) is about 45 minutes by S.R. 528 (toll). Melbourne (MLB) is about 25 miles, roughly 40 minutes. Orlando Sanford (SFB) is about an hour by S.R. 417 and S.R. 528. [2]
Access & mobility
- Accessible parking spaces are available. The parking fee is waived for vehicles with disability equipment (ramps, lifts, hand or foot controls), a Florida Toll Exemption Permit or a Florida Disabled Veteran plate. Staff can't waive it for any other reason. [2][6]
