From CDG, the RER B costs €14 into Paris, about 25 to 30 minutes to Gare du Nord, and you cross to Saint-Lazare. Or book SNCF’s own route, 4h28 at its fastest with a change at Massy TGV. From Orly, metro line 14 goes straight to Saint-Lazare on the same €14 ticket, per RATP.

What the ride costs
The RER and train rows are per person; the taxi rows are per car, as the sources print them.
| RER B or metro 14, airport ticket, per person (RATP) | — |
| Le Havre–Paris train, Prem’s from €17, limited (SNCF Connect) | — |
| Taxi, Le Havre station to the terminal, about €10 (unofficial) | — |

A rental car isn’t worth it for most Le Havre cruises. The train does the long part, and the tourist office prints no cruise-parking price.
Landing on sail day? Check your timing
No line we read publishes a boarding cut-off for Le Havre, so the row below is our own margin, not a rule. Use your line’s time from your documents.
- Train from the airport, with time to spareOur rule of thumb, not a line's: land at least 7 hours before the ship leaves.—
Flying overnight from the US, a late plane, a slow passport line or a missed connection eats that fast. We’d land the day before and sleep in Le Havre, or in Paris by Saint-Lazare.
Land a day early. Take the morning train.
We ranked eleven hotels for a Le Havre cruise: nine in Le Havre and one by Saint-Lazare, plus one at CDG for the way home. Tell us the flight and the ship, and we’ll pick the night that fits.

Entry rules, bags and the trains
Entry. The US State Department wants your passport valid for three months beyond the day you leave the Schengen area, with one blank page, and rates France Level 2, exercise increased caution, as of May 28, 2025. The EU’s Entry/Exit System (EES) has been fully running since April 10, 2026, per the French foreign ministry. It records a photo and, from age 12, fingerprints at your first Schengen border — for most US fly-in cruisers that’s passport control at Charles de Gaulle or Orly, not the ship. ETIAS isn’t running and you can’t apply for it yet. The EU says it will give at least six months’ notice, and by September 2026 its portal had dropped the old “last quarter of 2026” date without naming a new one, per Newland Chase. We found no published date when we checked on October 19, 2026.
US flights. Air France says its US network from Charles de Gaulle will reach 20 gateways in summer 2027, adding San Diego and Nashville, per Travel Agent Central. French Bee flies Orly to Newark, Los Angeles and San Francisco, per AeroRoutes, though it cut Newark and LA frequencies in 2026. If the cruise ends elsewhere, book an open-jaw ticket home from that city.
Bags. You carry your own luggage on the RER, the metro and the train. The tourist office lists a baggage storage area at the terminal, but not whether you can leave bags before check-in.
Trains. The service is TER, from Paris Saint-Lazare: 15 a day toward Le Havre, the first at 05:46 and the last at 20:40, per SNCF Connect. For the terminal and the lines, see our Le Havre cruise guide.
Flying in the day before
One night ashore takes the clock off sail day, and after an overnight flight you’ll want it. You have two choices: sleep in Le Havre, close to the ship, or in Paris and take a morning train.
None of our hotels runs a shuttle to the ship. The Sheraton is inside Terminal 2, for the night after the cruise.

What each of our eleven says about getting from the airport to its door. Only the Sheraton is at the airport itself; everything else is a train or the RER.
