Night-Before Score
The verdict

Santiago de Alfama is the small, characterful night. Nineteen rooms, Audrey’s downstairs from breakfast to dinner, and Mannys for a late cocktail, per MICHELIN.

It ranks mid-table because it publishes so little that scores: no pool, no gym, no breakfast promise. The terminal is about 650 m off, all downhill on cobbles.

It does offer a paid airport transfer and parking at €15 a day. Ask about both when you book.

Book it if

  • You want a small hotel with a proper restaurant
  • You want old Alfama outside the door
  • You need connecting rooms for a family

Look elsewhere if

  • You want a pool or a gym
  • You want breakfast in the rate
  • You want to walk to the ship

Which quay

the Lisbon Cruise Terminal

Most turnarounds use the Lisbon Cruise Terminal at Jardim do Tabaco, on Av. Infante Dom Henrique by Santa Apolónia station. Santiago de Alfama is about 650 m from our pin for it in a straight line, and about 4.1 km from Alcântara, the western quay. The port assigns the berth, so check your documents; the Lisbon cruise guide has the rest.
