The best cross-brand matching at sea

Permanent match
  • One-for-one tier matching across Crown & Anchor Society, Captain’s Club and Venetian Society.
  • It stays in place. You match once; you don’t re-request it before every cruise.
  • The chart was realigned on July 1, 2026. Venetian Society added 15 and 50 VS Day milestones, and the match now runs through them. One wrinkle: Silversea members with 250 or 350 VS Days both match to Diamond Plus and Elite Plus, but Diamond Plus and Elite Plus members going the other way receive the 250 VS Days tier.
  • Grandfathering: matches granted before July 1, 2026 may be protected under Royal Caribbean’s official rules. Members who had matched to 100 or 250 VS Days kept that level if they sailed or booked Silversea between May 30, 2024 and June 14, 2026; matches at 350 or 500 VS Days were left alone.
  • Points Choice (sailings from January 30, 2026): within 14 days of getting off, you can send the points from a sailing to any of the three programs, at published exchange rates. One request per sailing, and it can’t be undone.
  • Celebrity added Double Zenith (6,000 points) and Triple Zenith (9,000 points) on June 11, 2026. They’re milestone levels you earn; the match chart tops out at Zenith.
  • What a match doesn’t get you: milestone rewards such as free cruises, the Zenith black SeaPass card and Zenith lunch, Retreat Lounge access unless your stateroom includes it, and some Venetian Society extras including complimentary Premium Wi-Fi and priority embarkation.
  • How: Royal Caribbean or Celebrity app → Loyalty → Loyalty Match. Silversea-only members use Silversea’s website. You must be 18 or over and enrolled in each program. Allow up to seven business days.

Honored one cruise at a time

Per-cruise honoring
  • The Loyalty Status Honoring Program started with sailings from October 15, 2025.
  • It’s per cruise. You request it before each sailing, you get the closest corresponding tier for that trip, and you go back to your own earned tier with that brand afterwards (within about seven days).
  • The top tiers were compressed on March 16, 2026. Requests made on or after that date use the 2026 chart. NCL Ambassador now caps at Diamond on Oceania and Titanium on Regent; NCL Sapphire is honored as Platinum on both. Oceania President’s Circle is recognized as Diamond, and Regent Commodore and Diamond as Titanium.
  • Requests sent before March 16 for a later sailing keep the 2025 chart.
  • Points never transfer between the three programs. If you hold status with more than one brand, the highest is honored. Milestone benefits (free cruises, cabin upgrades, gifts) aren’t honored.
  • How: email the brand you’re sailing with at least 10 days before departure — StatusHonoringNCL@ncl.com, StatusHonoringOCI@oceaniacruises.com or StatusHonoringRSSC@rssc.com — with your reservation number, sail date, ship, every NCLH loyalty number you hold, and your name, date of birth, email and phone. Your travel advisor can send it for you. Allow up to 72 business hours; nothing can be processed once the voyage has started.

Going the other way, Oceania President’s Circle and Regent Diamond and Commodore are honored as Latitudes Ambassador. Those top tiers can only be held by people who earned them on that line.

One-time match
  • Sister brands match: MSC Voyagers Club and Explora Club. MSC has six tiers and Explora five, so MSC’s first two map to Explora’s first level.
  • MSC also matches status from outside its family — other cruise lines, hotels and resorts, and some travel memberships. It runs year-round. A July 2026 guide says airline programs aren’t on the list; MSC publishes the current list, and it changes.
  • You get one match, once, from one outside program. You must be 18 or over, and it can’t be done on board. Review typically takes about three business days, so apply when you book.
  • Explora accepts matches too — from MSC, and from Silversea Venetian Society and Seabourn Club members — one request per member, in about ten business days.
  • The daisy-chain: match another line’s status into MSC, then use your new MSC tier to match into Explora.

No matching
  • No loyalty matching between the brands. Carnival has said publicly it won’t unify or match status across them. A Diamond Carnival cruiser starts at the bottom of Princess Captain’s Circle, and the other way round.
  • New: Carnival Rewards replaced VIFP on September 1, 2026. Status is now earned with “stars” from spending, not days sailed: Red when you join, Gold at 10,000 stars, Platinum at 50,000 and Diamond at 100,000. The first qualifying period runs to December 31, 2028, then status resets every two years.
  • What happens to VIFP members: status held on August 31, 2026 runs through December 2028. Diamond stays lifetime. Platinum members get a 10,000-star boost at the start of each two-year cycle, which starts them at Gold.
  • The exception — Holland America: past guests of Carnival, Princess, Cunard, Seabourn and Costa are enrolled as Star Mariner on their first HAL booking.
  • The other exception — casinos: Carnival’s Players Club “Fun Match” and the Princess and Holland America Ocean Players Club match land-based and competitor casino status.

  • The window: apply and book by October 31, 2026. Approved applicants get an Access Key by email, and it has to be entered when you make a new booking. It can’t be added to an existing booking afterwards.
  • What you get, once: Blue Extras on one eligible sailing, for the primary sailor — a specialty coffee a day, a bag of laundry, an invitation to a cocktail event and dedicated Sailing Club support. It doesn’t grant permanent Blue Extras status.
  • Who qualifies, from cruising — Virgin’s current list (Regent, Silversea, Cunard, Explora and Viking aren’t on it):
